Brivaracetam 50 mg Tablet is used to treat partial seizures (convulsions that affect only one part of the brain) in patients with epilepsy (seizures) who are at least one month old. Partial-onset seizures are characterized by abnormal electrical activity in only one hemisphere of the brain. Common symptoms include involuntary muscle contractions followed by relaxation on one side of the body, uncontrollable head or eye movements, rapid pulse and tingling of the skin.

Precautions

Do not breastfeed unless your doctor tells you to. 

Inform your doctor or health specialist as soon as possible if you observe any suicidal thoughts or feel that your condition is getting worse than before. It is not recommended to drive a car or operate machinery, as Brivaracetam 50 mg Tablet may cause tiredness and exhaustion. 

It is not recommended to consume alcoholic beverages during Brivaracetam treatment. Do not stop taking Brivaracetam 50 mg Tablet without first talking to your doctor. Stopping it suddenly can cause serious problems. Sometimes it can cause seizures that don’t stop (status epilepticus).
