Clobazam Tablets fall under a category of medications known as benzodiazepine. It works by increasing the activity of a chemical transmitter (GABA), which prevents abnormal and excessive activity of neurons in the brain. Thus, Clobazam Tablets prevent seizures by stabilizing the electrical activity of neurons in the brain. In addition, Clobazam Tablets calms nerve cells helps reduce anxiety and induces sleep.

Uses Of Clobazam Tablets

Clobazam Tablets are used for the short-term treatment of epilepsy (seizures) and severe anxiety. It is also used with other medicines to treat schizophrenia (a mental illness). Epilepsy (seizures) is a disease in which there is a sudden and uncontrollable disturbance of the electrical activity of neurons in the brain. Anxiety is a mental disorder characterized by fear, worry and excessive nervousness. Schizophrenia is a mental disorder that affects one’s ability to think, feel, and behave clearly.

Direction For Use

Take Clobazam Tablets with or without your meal as your doctor prescribes it to you. Take it as a whole with a warm or cold glass of water. If you find any difficulty while swallowing the tablet then crush the tablet and then consume it.

Side Effects of Clobazam Tablets

Generally, it does not cause any adverse side effects and is well-tolerated for the human body. However, if any of its side effects occur it may not need individual or medical attention. It should be used with caution in elderly patients over 65 years of age due to an increased risk of side effects such as dizziness, muscle weakness and somnolence. If you have depression, spinal or cerebellar ataxia (problems with movement control), hallucinations, delusions (delusions), or liver or kidney problems, tell your doctor before starting Clobazam Tablets. Avoid taking Clobazam Tablets if you have myasthenia gravis (muscle weakness), sleep apnea (stopping and repeating breathing), breathing or liver problems.
