Description

Sertraline Tablets contain Sertraline, a medication that increases serotonin levels in the brain by preventing its reabsorption into nerve cells. This boost in serotonin helps to improve mood, ease depression, and reduce anxiety, including symptoms like fear and panic.

Uses of Sertraline Tablets

Sertraline Tablets fall into a category of medicines called selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors or SSRIs. Sertraline is indicated for the treatment of depression, post-traumatic stress disorder, social anxiety disorder, panic disorder, and obsessive-compulsive disorder.

Depression is a mood disorder characterised by constant sadness and loss of interest in various activities, as well as sleep disturbances. OCD is characterized by recurring, intrusive thoughts known as obsessions that lead to repetitive behaviours known as compulsions.

Panic disorder is a psychiatric condition that is marked by the recurrence of unexpected, very frightening episodes while there is no real danger.

In PTSD, symptoms develop following a person having experienced an event that could be potentially very stressful or traumatic. Its symptoms overlap with anxiety and depression. In social anxiety disorder or social phobia, a person experiences overwhelming anxiety during social situations.
