Description

Amisulpride Tablet – Sulprox-400 is a member of a class of drugs known as “antipsychotics,” and it is primarily used to treat postoperative nausea and vomiting and long-term (chronic) schizophrenia. Hallucinations (hearing or seeing things that are not real) and delusions are symptoms of schizophrenia (wrong beliefs). There are both positive and negative symptoms in schizophrenia illnesses, including delusions, hallucinations, and thought problems (like blunted effect, emotional and social withdrawal). Vomiting is an involuntary reflex that expels the contents of the stomach through the mouth, whereas nausea is an uncomfortable sensation in which a person feels a need to vomit.

It contains amisulpride, which aids in reestablishing the equilibrium of specific organic compounds in the brain. Amisulpride’s main effect is to inhibit some dopamine receptors in the brain and reduce excessive dopamine release. However, it also affects other neurotransmitters in the brain, including serotonin (5-HT), which might potentially contribute to its positive effects. Amisulpride Tablet also inhibits the feeling of nausea or vomiting by inhibiting the D2 receptors in the brain’s chemoreceptor trigger zone, or CTZ, which are in charge of causing nausea and vomiting.
